What is Cocoa Butter?

Cocoa butter comes from the cacao bean which is extracted from the cocoa pod of the cacao tree. Ghana being one of the largest cocoa producers, this by product has is a popular ingredient in cosmetics due to its naturally rich content in fatty acids & anti-oxidants.

How is it made?

Made from 100% pure Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter

Cocoa pods grow on the Theobroma Cocoa tree. Cocoa seeds from the cocoa pods are dried, roasted and pressed. Then the vegetable fat is extracted forming our coca butter with its fantastic moisturising qualities. It’s left in its traditional hard state. There are no other ingredients; our cocoa butter is handmade purely with Ghanaian cocoa seeds (Ghana is one of the largest producers of cocoa in the world).
